WORKSHOP DETAILS

WHEN AND WHERE?

11th May 2 spaces left 10am - 1pm @ The Hub, Mulberry Way, Combe Down, Bath BA2 5BU

WHAT WILL BE COVERED?

  • The link between resilience and mindfulness

  • Understanding stress, anxiety, and difficult emotions 

  • Identifying mind chatter and how mindfulness helps to turn down the volume

  • The Body Scan – a lying down meditation (mats and blankets will be provided)

  • Introducing the power of breathing to help you handle challenges/setbacks with greater ease

  • Breathing exercises for stress/anxiety in the moment

  • Anger session – Learning to Respond rather than React. Identifying triggers, breathing exercises for anger, and introducing self-compassion.

  • Self-esteem session - signs of low self-esteem, identifying your inner bully, navigating friendships, and positive self-talk.

  • Social media session - Becoming more mindful of habits. Identifying addictive behaviours. Creating boundaries.

  • Mindful listening exercise. An exercise to boost relationships with friends and family.

The workshop is £50 per parent/child duo including Nicola’s book, Resilient Teen which retails at £6.99

We have space for 14 people. Please bring along a water bottle and lunch/snacks.

Please note the age range of children attending is 10-16 years old. Please only sign up if your child is 10+
